So, I'm rather amazed at how creative this little girl is becoming with all her different vocal sounds. Its exciting for a parent to hear her first baby's cries turn into sighs and coos. But no one ever told me how strange and odd these vocables can be!
In previous videos you have heard Elaine sigh and squeak and make high pitched squeals. But in the last month she has gone through a growling period where she would primarily let out elongated, low growls. And now she is doing a very strange inhaling screech, like she's some kind of Velociraptor in Jurassic Park. Although he denies it, she has definitely learned how to do this from her father. When Jeremy gets REALLY excited he opens his mouth wide and screeches by inhaling very close to your face. He does this all the time to Elaine, of course, because she's so adorable and he gets very excited to see her after work. And so, our little sponge of a daughter has learned 'this is how you communicate with Dinosaur Daddy.' She imitates him quite well.

Also, this video reminds me of the other noteworthy characteristic of our daughter these days, a bib soaked in drool. Elaine's favorite hobby is to suck on both of her hands. If you leave her alone for a few minutes, she will cover her own face and the front of her shirt with her saliva. She's not teething or anything, she just loves slobbering all over herself. Couple that with her one or two good spit-ups and you've got yourself a pile of bibs to wash. And of course, I love my little slobber-puss.
