Elaine Celebrates 8 Month Birthday In Her New Home... COLORADO!

We arrived in Colorado on Monday night, October 13th. We made the trek from Belleville in one day! Elaine was a champ.

After a week of settling in, seeing old friends and beginning our new lives back in Colorado Springs, we realized we had a birthday (of sorts) to celebrate. On October 21st, Elaine Adair Facknitz turned 8 months old!

Aside from a chapped chin from the combination of dry air and drool and some stuffy nose issues, E is adjusting to her new home in Colorado quite nicely.

She now has a top tooth poking through, and her new favorite sound to make is a raspberry. If bored enough she'll go on and on for 5 minutes, completely soaking the front of her shirt. Here is video of Elaine singing along with Paul Simon and bathing herself in saliva:

She's still not crawling but getting closer. She's rolling a lot, standing up with help and rocking on to her knees. She does speak, usually saying "hahma", "mmm" and "ahdahdah". We think it's arabic.

Because of her budding agility on the floor, we've begun some mild to moderate training exercises for our future terror on the field. Which field sport she will be the star of has yet to be determined.

Mom and Dad are doing great, getting in touch with old friends and getting back to work. We've received an abundance of new shows, with 10 on the calendar as of right now with more to confirm in the next few days. Students are returning and Jeremy's excited to promote his Tomorrow's Songwriter's program. Lindsay is subbing for Music Together classes and will be teaching 7 to 8 classes per week beginning in January. Aside from the 8 straight days of sunshine and 60 degree temps, it looks like moving back here was a good idea.

With that said, we do miss our families back east and send love and sunshine to you all.

Autumn in Colorado is DELICIOUS!

Also, big thanks to Aunt Kara for the new outfit... light blue vest with hoodie and pink and blue Tiger striped pants!
