Belleville stop then Colorado!

Having moved our material possessions to Colorado Springs over Labor Day weekend and having completed the Michigan trip in late September, the Ferret Farm decided to stay in the St. Louis area for a couple weeks to finish out a couple of gigs and say goodbye to friends and relatives. With mom and pop Weidmann out in Colorado, we took full advantage of their beautiful home in Belleville IL... the house Lindsay grew up in.

While we spent time preparing for our return home to Colorado, contacting students and booking gigs, we also left plenty of time for rehearsing, learning new songs, walking around the old neighborhood, visiting with Jeremy's parents and general hopping around. Here's video of Elaine on 10/6, jumping and jumping and jumping and jumping.
Let's Jump!

On 10/4, Aunt Meg had a get-together with all the female cousins present (minus Liam and Robin) for good food, good company and a photo op with great-grandpa Daddio.

While the Ferret Farm was in Belleville, Elaine had a series of "firsts". On 10/6, we were at the Main St. Brewery in Belleville with Grammy and Choo-choo when she started to play peekaboo by herself, lifting a napkin over her face and removing it all on her own. Also for the first time, she played a game with daddy, a game these creative minds call the "Open and Close" game (video below).
Open, Close

She drank from her first sippy cup on 10/6, and started pulling herself up from a seated position on 10/10, using a large toy at Winnie and Picky's house.

Lindsay and Jeremy enjoyed the company of grammy and choo-choo (Jeremy's parents) for the last eek we were in Belleville. We played many games of countless euchre, watched football and playoff baseball, and of course, played with the baby. It was a wonderful transition time in Belleville, IL!
